I never knew that. I thought it was open to all branches of the military.
It’s services all branches but is run by the Army. It's owned by DoD, not Army. Services all branches.

Yeah, Edelweis in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is on the books officially as an army installation, even though its open to and used by all services.Owned by DOD, operated by the US Army, open to all the uniformed services.
The Armed Forces Recreation Centers (AFRC) Resorts serve members of the U.S. Armed Forces, their families, and other authorized users. The AFRCs are Category C Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities operated by the U.S. Army as executive agent for the Department of Defense (DOD). Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) G9 directly manages the AFRCs to provide all uniformed services with high-quality, affordable resort-style facilities consistent with the Army's focus on readiness and quality of life for Service Members and their Families.
People would rather believe the media than hospital CEO's.So apparently the scary alarm isn’t necessarily full of truthful info!!
Nothing to see here folks !!
Hospital CEOs in Harris County Push Back Against “Unnecessary Alarm” Over ICU Capacity
Although hospitals are having to adapt to the influx of coronavirus patients, CEOs of major Houston-metro hospitals are reassuring the public that hospitalizations are still under control.thetexan.news
Yeah, DeSantis said they are clearing the hospitals there to be ready.Miami Dade hospitals are in really good shape today with capacity increasing especially in ICU with 43% capacity, which actually is higher than normal
Are they cancelling elective surgeries again? In TX in some of the highest impacted counties they started to return to a ban on elective surgeries. It helps get over the hump, but we can’t go on forever like that.Yeah, DeSantis said they are clearing the hospitals there to be ready.
They also haven't moved past phase 1 as far as I know.Miami Dade hospitals are in really good shape today with capacity increasing especially in ICU with 43% capacity, which actually is higher than normal
I haven't seen a cancellation but if they can open the bed by accommodating the patient to another facility (nursing/discharge) they are doing it. Nothing new in the hospital community. Are they cancelling elective surgeries again? In TX in some of the highest impacted counties they started to return to a ban on elective surgeries. I got a bingo on that word last night! You must not have been playing.Hysterics! Gotta cross that off my coronavirus discussion bingo
yeah, absolutely no reason to close the beaches during the busiest week of the summer.Someone should tell this mayor guy the hospitals are fine...what’s he talkin about
think I read they are trying to keep 15% of ICU for Covid patients, so probably why “sever threat” issued?also to put the situation in Houston/Harris county in perspective, from the current SETRAC hospital census

And if those people’s close contacts/families are positive or ever show symptoms. Would go alooonnnggg way to seeing just how many “asymptomatic” transmissions there are vs presymptomatic and how severe the case.Would love to see the report on the thousands of young poeple that tested positive this week and show how many had no issues and have issues if they did recovered in 2-3 days, come on Orlando Sentinel get on it.
well that would explain the low census , where was this announced, missed itYeah, DeSantis said they are clearing the hospitals there to be ready.
The answers on here for so many people are open things up and patrol them. I’ve heard it for bars.. beaches.. etc. We don’t have enough patrols in this country to make sure people are doing the right thing. It won’t work as you can see by the crowds and huge gatherings every week. Why don’t we as adults just do the right thing, then most places can reopen. We are not so things go downhill. Patrols and policing people to make sure they social distance and/ or wear masks where necessary isn’t working. Let’s try and be caring adults and do what’s right and hopefully this thread might be over because there’s nothing left to talk about.I don’t get the closing of beaches. Patrol them, enforce distancing but just asking for trouble when open again and EVERYONE flocks to get their vitamin D. Plus outside with breeze disperses any possible virus particles. Made as much sense as saying no boating with a motor on a huge lake but hey- small non motorized boats ok. Or roping off parks forcing people to stay in smaller crowded apartments instead of fresh open air (66% in NYC were self isolating and positive)
So now people who are sick to death of being isolated will just crowd to each other’s house in closer quarters. Makes sense
