Would have been nice if some benches faced out towards the view of the lake instead of just towards the bench opposite you.
I think that's so your back isn't to your dining partner or did you mean the ones in the picture?? I think the fence would be directly in your line of sight when sitting. Just a thought

I'm talking about the line and picture that I quoted. WDWTraveller stated the seating areas could be a place to take in views of the lake. I think you would get better views of the lake if the benches faced the water rather than each other.
Generally if you are walking with others then they would be on the same bench or the one next to you, not the one on the other side of the walkway so you are shouting across people to talk.

Good for you if you like the direction that they are taking with all the new resort builds. I wish I had your taste in design because it doesn't make me happy and I don't enjoy being unhappy. Disney Springs may be detailed and all shiny, new and hip but it lacks character.
Mind, I don't think the new places are at all the same level of fun as the Candy Cauldron, that is super fun theming.

I suspect the current DS theming is a little like a mall, in that if a shop has to vacate a certain space, it won't require a major over hall to replace it, and that is pretty essential in 2019.

Many malls are looking very sad looking these days. A long list of retailers have filed for bankruptcy or getting close: Diesel, Payless Shoes, Sears, Charlotte Russe, Things Remembered, Gymboree, Mattress Firm, Gump's, Brookstone, Samuels Jewelers, Rockport, Nine West, Winn-Dixie, Claire's, The Walking Company, Shopko, Bon ton, Mattress Warehouse, Z Gallerie, Roberto Cavalli.

Many are closing a bunch of locations: JC Penney, Christopher&Banks, Abercrombie&Ffitch, Francesca's, Bed, Bath&Beyond, The Children's Place, Party City, Victoria's Secret, Office Depot, Destination Maternity, Performance Bicycle, Pier 1, Signet (Jared Galleria of Jewelry/Zales), Chico's, dress barn, and likely more.

Truly, doesn't make me happy to see what has happened to retail over the last few years.

If DS having easily converted locations helps to keep it vibrant, so be it.

I have got to get to you guys malls, evidently the new crepeteria in France looks like a mall, now this looks like its from your mall.
Malls near me have TGiFs and olive Gardens. This looks nothing like a chain place.
I love the floor, from the video and definitely don't see a watermist fireplace.
Cocktail list sounded tasty.

Yeah. And this new reasturant looks like a Friday’s and ruby Tuesday and all the other crap places in boring shopping centers across America. This looks exactly like a chain reasturant. There is no theme besides chain reasturant.

Would have been nice if some benches faced out towards the view of the lake instead of just towards the bench opposite you.

At a lot of beaches, they have benches where the seat portion is fixed, but the back is on a hinge allowing you to move the back so you can sit facing either towards the water or towards the boardwalk. Such benches would be a perfect option here.

Apparently it's been far too long since I've been to a Fridays or Ruby Tuesdays...
When did they replace the tables with patio furniture?

To me, this place resembles the bar over at Wilderness Lodge, Geyser Point I think it's called.
I was just at Friday's about two weeks ago and I can confirm that this new dining location doesn't look like one. The liars are trying to pull the wool over our eyes again. Lol! Geyser Point is the best outdoor patio bar/dining area at WDW, by the way.

From every angle, I cannot see anything other than a typical tower one would find on the Las Vegas strip.

Also, I do wish that the green accents, along the front facade and domes, were kept over the gold. The tans and gold remind me of the Aladdin Casino & Resort.

We drove past a couple weeks ago and it is just so Brown and Tan...Totally ugly. The concept art had much more color... made it look beautiful, but in the end it is just sad looking... Wonder if they will also back off the color and style on the interior and we will end up with another plain Marriott Style hotel lobby and lounge..

Go to Disney site now and see the pictures , beautiful white tower shown , not the brown that we see today. What gives ?

Really? Doesn’t look like one?

Maybe not Friday’s exactly. But this joint is giving some groovy Olive Garden vibes.

Wow I see...but if you look closely it is stall tan and brown, they have just brightened the picture up making it look lighter...probably realizing if they made it look like what they are actually building it would be less than stellar...
