The show needs to go down for refurbishment first to upgrade the projector. That’s why we are getting it in November instead because it will be down most of October and early November.

If only they had closed it in mid-August to avoid a closure at the start of the 50th…foolish.
Glad it is getting a new projector. It looked fabulous at DCA.

Super weird timing. Especially when the last month had been the lowest attendance in quite some time. Not having the show option would have been less of a deal and would have had it all set up for 10/1.

1: Why in Bob, didnt they do the projector replacement in August or September, especially if the new scene is already showing in other parks.
2: they better fix the misaligned opening scene that is way out of focus that makes me wonder each time if I have suddenly gone half blind.

At least it's still an attraction of decent quality.
Nothing like Sounds Dangerous. In its' final years I was shocked they were still running it. It was embarrassingly bad, not just overdue for an upgrade.
Coincidentally (?), Nov 12 is Disney Plus day on which a slew of content is premiering.
It's a tech issue, has better days and worse days.

I know nothing of anything like this happening, but what if Philhar became "Presented by Disney+" or had some kind of Disney+ branding integrated into it.
The press release makes it sound like all aspects of the corporation are required to celebrate D+ in some way...
