Possible, or they could be waiting until the last possible moment to get every last use out of it.
We’d still see a permit for demo a few months in advance tho, no?

Makes perfect sense they’d want to keep operating as long as possible, but seems we’d have seen a permit by now if they do plan to bulldoze it.

Anyone know how far in advance they’ve typically filed permits?

Possible. As discussed in the Avatar thread, permits are good for 1 year, so they can be filed anytime within a year of when the project is to be completed. I believe Disney's average is 30-60 days in advance, depending on the project. Someone can correct if I am wrong.

Until we see foundation be laid I don't think we can draw any conclusion yet on the future of any of those buildings. We have no opening date, so this could be a long drawn out process.

If they don't demo anything... they max they could do on a single level is something like Sinbad from TDS which is 10+ mins.

FWIW The last permit for demo for what we currently see was filed for plan review 5 to 6 months prior to being issued and demo started a month later.
Supposedly there a site already claims there are demo permits for Monsters and they dont plan on.closing until.2027.

Wow that really puts things in perspective. There’d need to be some space allocated for the courtyard type area but if we get something even 6-7 minutes long in the tradition of sinbad I would be a very happy camper
Not positive but I think sinbad has an indoor queue... so I still think something like that is possible

It does have an indoor queue. Not huge, but then it's a very high capacity attraction a la' Disneyland's Pirates at 2,800+ per hour, so it doesn't need a lot of queue. It's a people eater, in the grand tradition of Walt-era people eaters.

I had to pause when I saw the Coco artwork in this thread, and it only showed a boat with 3 rows.

Pirates boats have 6 rows, and seat 22 people each. They need big boats, and lots of 'em if they want to be good hosts!

Is it possible that we haven’t seen a Demo permit for the Maintenance building because it’s going to be annexed into the new building they re building? Kind of like they did with ITTBAB and Web Slingers. Is that why they re just removing the small electrical building in front of the Maintenance building? Not to say that wouldn’t need a permit of its own.

Anything is possible.

As I suggested before, until foundation is poured we won't know anything with 100% certainty.

I guess the question would be is there any inherent reason a permit for annexing the building would be filed any later than a permit for demoing the entire building?

Annex is probably the wrong way to phrase this. It would be a change of use permit or even change of address permit if its "merging" with the new building, and yes that would come much later than a demo permit. As it could be months after they already start construction on the new building.

Yeah I wasn't sold on the word of choice either but you got the point. Don't know a whole lot about Construction.

Hmmm ok so if that would typically come much later than a demo permit I may be onto something...

Could be, or it could still be demoed later and the permit just hasn't been filed yet (or is still listed as Confidential with no address).

Yeah any of those are possible. Or it may not be demo'd at all. Just offering one possible reason why the small electrical building is being demo'd but we haven't seen a demo permit for the Maintenance bldg.

Some interesting updates on the Monday FreshBaked video. Some trenching near the small building, and trees being cut down near that backstage crosswalk (I’m thinking maybe moving the crosswalk and curb?)

He also keeps reiterating every week that it’s the parade building he’s heard is the building that’s going away.

Does he have a solid track record for “hearing” things that end up happening?

I think he’s gotten a couple things right in the past. Small stuff that I can’t even remember off the top of my head. But he’s also gotten some things wrong. So he’s only as good as whoever the particular source du jour is.

So this popped up today.

Dca - Substation #210/Boh - Site Work: 562 Sq Ft New Attached Canopy. Install (13) New Light Poles And (9) Ev Chargers. 100 Ln Ft X 8 Ft Tall Cmu Wall And 99 Ln Ft X 8 Ft Tall Chain Link Fence. With Electrical And Plumbing.

Substation#210 was part of the demo permit. Where I saw the permit it did not have a building number but it was filed the same day as the demo permit was made.

(not trying to take away from SSG) Just wanted to share

Just checking in after a few weeks and skimming pages casually to see what's new on this ride.

And if we are at this point in April '26, there's absolutely no way this ride is opening until sometime in calendar year 2029.
