I'm not trying to defend Pixar Pier - there are thousands of pages on the forum detailing its many flaws, just trying to project what I think is most likely to happen, which is to continue to lean into the lazy "meta-musement pier" that gives them an excuse to justify the lack of theming. Hopefully, that can at least include an eventual Victorian pier wrapper to provide something more compelling than the current chaos.
I love Pixar Pier for what it is.

The vibes at night are stupendous.

It’s not the best land ever, but I think it serves a function at DCA that a lot of the other Disney parks lack. It’s honestly one of my favorite Disney lands to hangout in, though IncrediCoaster needs actual animatronics, that ride is lazy as all get out.

The fence has moved out yet again. And the electrical in that area is starting to be removed. You'll also notice that the concrete in front of the storage building and the rollup door has been removed, circled in red. Once the rest of the electrical is removed in the next week or two I expect the rest of the concrete in the area to be removed and potentially the fence to move out even more.

I pray for this building’s downfall

$10 bucks this fence along DL Drive gets obscured before the Big Blue Dumbo Wall. They just have no interest in hiding that thing.

I think we already knew that even if the hope was something different, it’s seemed pretty clear for awhile now the wall was more likely their end goal not the temp solution.

Some people are feeling underwhelmed with this new attraction. Some people are thinking this is going to be a dark ride with a twist of new technology.

They are underwhelmed with size the site of evacuation.

There is a very good rationale for this progressive demolition to be staged as they are working and moving active backstage roads.

If they don’t start building a road here then ya I’ll be more convinced of the final footprint. The concept art still I believe supports the ride pressed against the coaster.

Tangled with Tech.

Unless that maintenance building goes down then its FEA with tech.

But how are people underwhelmed by something that doesn't exist yet?
What new tech are we expecting? Was it the mention of extra skinny skeleton AA’s? That would be nice, but doesn’t seem worthy of being labeled “technical innovation” but I suppose they like to tout that with almost every new ride these days.

I’m hoping this is indeed a case of preserving the maintenance function of the building for as long as possible while still eventually utilizing its space. I do worry though that the longer we go without a demolition permit for the full structure the less likely that becomes

I wouldn’t read too far into the concept art, it’s a vague enough medium and I would imagine which side the backstage access road ultimately falls on is one of those things that may be refined or changed as the project develops.

For my money I do think the upside of preserving access to the parade building means the backstage road will remain next to the coaster
