@D Hindley to show how I was drawing the map -- I actually used Disneyland as a template to sketch it.

I should have taken a picture of it before I drew it all out, but here is it with the image overlayed...Harbor Blvd on the right and backstage on the left.

Maybe slightly bigger than Disneyland around the edges (like in Adventureland) but not too much.

Oh I see! So the waterways, while large, aren't ginormous like the Epcot lagoon (which I was picturing). They're more like DisneySea sized. And the castle is closer to the park's entrance, which I didn't realize. Thanks for the clarification!

Ooh while I don't think @MonorailRed was planning on having the boat move...she did have a boat restaurant planned at one point. Only thing with a Riverboat is you have walking bridges going across which would impede the boat's path...would it be alright if it was docked instead?
It's not perfect but it works. Just anything to make Frontierland seem more lived in because as it stands, it really don't seem like a super inhabited bustling frontier town. That might also be because of the lack of atmosphere entertainment nearly park wide as it stands though.

PACIFIC WHARF CABLE CARS
Transportation ride
A simple transportation ride aboard period-appropriate cable cars along the streets of Pacific Wharf, with stops on the Embarcadero down near the docks and in Barbary Square at the foot of the Tower of Terror. These cars bring kinetics and life to Pacific Wharf, with their iconic trolley bell sounds complimenting the fog horn heard intermittently out in the Bay.
THIS! Kinetics! Lived in worlds! This kind of stuff is what this side of the park feels like it's missing.

I think once we confirm the layout -- we can then begin detailed entertainment and streetmosphere...It's just hard to narrow those down when you don't know how it will look yet.

Once we confirm the map -- then definitely we can talk kinetics!

I agree with adding more liveliness. But I also agree with the process that we are doing. I have some ideas for Tomorrowland but they are based on location and what attractions are inside them!

Every land probably except for Fantasyland since we've been brainstorming that for over a month, needs some liveliness.

I can't wait for @D Hindley 's view of Pacific Wharf! And I like your take space on Tomorrowland. Simple, yet organized.

Yes Pacific Wharf is the exception because the main designer @D Hindley -- knows how it will look and feel in his mind...so adding all those awesome little attractions goes along with the plan he has for the land.

With that said I think @MonorailRed was a fan of the map -- so maybe we could start detailing Frontierland in the time being.

And thanks!

Looks like we have approval on Frontierland from Red and Tomorrowland so far.

@JackWatkinson any changes you'd like to make to Adventureland? I don't want to throw out mickeyfan's suggestion for flipping Pirates and the Tiki Room so I'll leave that there as well for you to decide.

@Brer Oswald and @DlpPhantom -- I know Critter Country is in brainstorming mode right now so I left most of it blank/vague for now on the overall map

What does everyone think of having a designated Cumulative Attraction, Restaurant, Shop Description Thread for Sydney Disneyland?

This would chronicle the detailed write-ups of all the attractions, rest., shops, etc so that it's all in one place. It may be sporadically listed as people add onto it from different lands...but from that cumulative ...it'll be much easier to find everything and organize it for the final project presentation. :bookworm:

Plus it will also give me something to do right now:p

Frontierland is amazing!

Happy about the layout! :D I think it works well....

And thanks!

I will say the only thing that concerns me with having Pirates transition with Peter Pan is that it was done before with Paris.... I feel like there has to be a way to have a unique transition into Adventureland from Peter Pan....

Let me see what I can find.... They're may be a solution.

What about something else with an animated vibe, like Up (that's still in Adventureand, right?). The Fantasyland buildings can subtly recall Carl's house, and then the trip into the jungle recalls Carl's own adventure!

I think the Canoes and Cruise will help -As well as the River rafts! :D

The River rafts are an outdoor version of Crush's Coaster.... should be able to provide some atmosphere similar to how Mine Train Does. :bookworm:

POTC write up soon- I mean it this time!

That would be a good transition because like Red said Pirates-Pan has been done before.

Overall I think Adventureland is looking great!

New Thought Process on the Pan/Adventureland Transition....

Fantasyland_Full_15912.jpg

What if we had a tropical "Neverland Jungle Grotto" Area to transition into Adventureland? It could have the animals from the "Following the Leader" sequence in the movie. Hippos, Monkeys, Rinos, Bears... Maybe even Tick Tock. It'd be our "unique" solution to the "Liki Tikis" found in Hong Kong and WDW.

Thoughts? o_O I know it sounds weird.... But it could work as an "tropical Jungle" to Tiki room transition.
