We're leaving for Disney World in just a week, and I so wanted to renew our vows since it's also our tenth anniversary, unfortunately we couldn't afford to actually do it at WDW so we had one ourselves at home this summer. I hope it's o.k. to post this kind of thing here. I thought maybe it might help any other brides out with a few ideas.
We rented a small white chapel near where we live, I figured we'd do the kind of wedding Cinderella would have wanted
. Everyone really got into it, my husband and I were of course Cindy and the prince, my girls were modified mice, and all our attendants were the ugly stepsisters and their attendants. I am a seamstress so I made everyones costumes and all our decor, it took me about 8 months, but it was so worth it. We had a huge clock tower topiary(we ended up with kind of a clock theme, my husband and I left to a clock chiming 12) and little wooden mice in every window. I found a pair of glass slippers to make it all complete. Our dear friends even sang "So this is Love" for us and it was just perfect.
Even though we couldn't do our renewal at WDW, I have a matted picture that I'm taking with us for all the characters to sign, and then I'll frame it when I get home.
