Got a great deal on airfare so we are headed down for a quick 4 day trip and MVMCP. $224.80 for 4 round trip tickets from the Midwest to Orlando. I love Christmas and the family loves Disney, putting the two together is always fun. Plus it is nice to enjoy some warmer weather in Dec.

Any idea if holiday decorations/shows will still be going January 1-7th? This is the closest to the holidays we've been able to make it!

The decorations will still be up when you first get there. But as the trip goes on, don't be surprised to see things disappear overnight. The shows and such will be done, and all the characters should be back to their normal outfits.

Where in the Midwest????

I'm in Cincinnati and the closest I can find is $388 pp + our 4 bags another $140. I would drive a couple of hours for a deal like yours!

Alright, it's been a long time since I have been to Disney for Christmas. my family is going to be making a couple day trips (we only live 2 hours away) the week before AP black out days hit.

What holiday stuff can we do without paying extra money? What should we prioritize if we only get 2 or 3 days?

Holidays Around the World at Epcot is all free. You might not get to sit and watch the Candlelight Processional, but you can listen to it. You can take a ride on the monorail and visit the gingerbread creations at GFR, CR and Poly. Yacht and Beach Club Resorts also have cool decorations. I heard Disney Springs is supposed to have holiday stuff as well.

You can do anything except for MVMCP without having to pay extra (excluding food). So you wouldn't be able to see the Christmas parade or fireworks (only can see for free once MVCMP wraps up) but pretty much everything else you have a chance. AS a PP said, the Candlelight Processional does hold a lot of its seating for people who did the a dining package, so depending on the day you may have to wait in standby line for a few shows, or be happy with watching it from the fountain area outside the theater. You can see the Epcot storytellers, see all the resort decorations, see some of the holiday characters all included in normal admission.

I live in west central IL. Traditionally fly Southwest (free bags) out of St. Louis (about 2 hour drive or a 30 min flight away). The deal I got was on Frontier out of Kansas City. This was $56.20 per person. The cheapest I ever scored was $49 per person round trip direct from Bloomington, IL to Orlando. Sadly Frontier pulled out of Bloomington. Parking was free in Bloomington too.

The Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian is always on our list of things to check out. I've eaten about half a roof worth of shingles over the years :)

It appears the Osborne, or if food part of them are headed to Silver Dollar City as they are featured in some of the promotion for Old Time Christmas. It is not like SDC didn't already do up Christmas big time.

Well, now that the trick-or-treaters have all left my house, I have begun my annual 2 months of nonstop Christmas music! :hilarious:

I literally do not listen to any music except for Christmas music from Halloween until New Years Day every year. But what about Disney music you may ask? Well, here are some of my favorites!
