Child meal refused at Mexico

I would be asking for a Manager.

Often there are adults who simply can't find anything appealing on the adult menu [particularly at San Angel Inn, where there's a lot of spice in everything]. Not allowing someone to order something you already serve is nuts!

I don't think Disney knows what a spice is....:shrug::veryconfu

I order off the kids menu because nothing on the adult menu appeals to me. If I didn't eat at restaurants where nothing on the adult menu interested me, I'd never eat.

Disney has never had a problem with adults ordering off the kids menu, except in isolated incidents such as this one with an over-zealous cast member. Stop worrying about what other people are eating. The world will not end if an adult orders off the kids menu, no matter what the reason.

The question is whether this is a stated rule. Most restaurants will explicitly state on the kid's menu that adults are not allowed to order from it. The world may not end but if enough adults do this then the restaurant loses money. It is the reason why they have this rule. If the CM was simply enforcing the rules, I fail to see how they are over-zealous. It is sort of funny because there are many conversations on this site about how sickening it is when a CM is told by management to not enforce the rules.

Since Disney caters to children of all ages, I don't think Disney has a strict rule about adults ordering off of the Kid's Menu.

I would gladly pay adult price for the stuff I order off the Kid's Menu, but Disney has never given me a problem.

Does anybody else get a funky aftertaste from the chips there. It's kinda like the greasy version of an aspertame aftertaste. Kinda like you were chewing on a waxy plastic bag and some melted in your mouth and you couldn't get it out??? Or is it just me?

Amen to that, I think that if adults offered to pay for an adult portion their would not be a problem. I think restraunts should offer an adult size plate with a posted upcharge.

I'm almost 17...but I still order off the Kids menu...

The other stuff is too spicy.

*is ashamed*;)

You should be,

I usually order off the Vegetarian menu - not so spicy, but lotsa beans....not a problem for me but I'm a girl and we don't have "bean problems..."

:ROFLOL:

Disney has never explicitly made a rule about adults ordering off the childrens menu although most Disney restaurants have something under the childrens menu header that says, "For Mickey's little pal's only please." Which I think is a hint more than a rule. I don't remember if they list a specific age or not which leads me to believe it isn't a rule, more so a suggestion.

A la carte is a good option for picky or light eaters. Just order a side order or two instead of a full meal.

I really like the way Cracker Barrel has a kids menu that's labeled "For kids of all ages", it's just smaller portions of everything and anyone is able to order off it, I generally do because I can never finish the regular portion of chicken dumplings even though I'm not a light eater.

I don't like that an adult just cant get a PB&J sandwich....thats also considered a "kids meal".... Disney food after a few days starts to reek havoc with my stomach and I have to start eating light and no fried foods.
