Have they started offering the card to Canadians yet? I've been approached in Downtown Disney before and the conversation goes like this:

"Oh hi there where are you guys traveling from?"
"Nova Scotia, Canada"
(*looks past me to the next guest*) Oh, Hi there where are YOU guys traveling from?"

But what if, like me, you use the card for everything. How do they "sort out" the Disney trip portion of the balance from everything else, to know not to charge you interest for it?

Yes - the companies know what items to charge interest on and which to not charge interest on. This is standard - it's not computed just on your bottom line. Cash advances get charged different rates than purchases, promo charges get chaged differently, grace period items don't get charged, etc.

Look at the interest charges portion of a credit card statement.. you can see two lines there on most cards.. cash vs purchases. It's just an extension of that.
