I am leave for Disneyworld in a month and just realized I scheduled all of our character breakfast an hour before the park opens. I realize that they will allow us to enter the park but how do we get there? Can we take the bus or do we need to take a taxi? Also, if we take a bus, will the bus be handicapped accessible?

Depending on your resort, buses start running by 6:30 or 6:45a. You'll have to check with your specific resort on the timing of said resort's first bus. As for handicap access, I think all of the Disney buses are accessible.

Make sure to take pics on main street!! Its awesome being in the park when no one else is there!

I actually prefer taking a taxi. Even though the buses do run before the park opens, depending on where we were staying, I found that sometimes there was one bus that circulated early enough to get us to the park for those super early reservations! I didn't want to just get there in time to run to the restaurant - I wanted to take time to enjoy walking down an empty Main Street etc since that's such a big reason for even getting the earliest reservation available!! Getting two little ones up and dressed and to the bus stop - and then finding out that the bus just left - can be hard if you've had a late night before! (And when we missed it, we ended up taking a taxi anyway!) I liked knowing that I could call from my room and ask that a taxi be ready for us when we got to the front of the resort and could take us exactly where we needed. My kids got a few minutes extra to sleep and I wasn't stressed and we knew we'd be on time - well worth the $20 taxi fare. My suggestion would be to check with the front desk and ask when the bus service will begin at your resort and how often the buses come by for those with early ADRs. They can be really helpful with that!

Can you drive yourself to the park early for a pre-opening breakfast?

You can, but you'll need to allow more time...since parking won't be as close as bus drop off...or in the case of MK...trying to get transportation from the ttc.

I was wondering the same thing. We have a car though, my concern is when the ttc and monorails start their day.

While I know monorail schedules can change, we were at the Poly back in November...I had a 7:15a ADR at GFC and took the monorail from the Poly to the GF on the resort loop - no problem making the ADR whatsoever.

I agree with a taxi in some cases. The busses before park opening are very sporadic in our experience. Magic Kingdom more reliable than most, however. We're looking forward to a pre-opening breakfast at Be our Guest in May! Can't wait to walk down Main Street with limited people in front of us!
