Chape's World update iss. 4

Ok all, back from 2 days at the world. Instead of one update each day I combined them. There are many photos, and many other verbal updates. Today I'll be updating on Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Many of the updates I do not have a photo for, but a look through these boards or even my past updates might have one!

Magic Kingdom:

-The New Where Dreams come True logo has popped up all around, most noticeibly in the front of the park. <img src="http://img417.imageshack.us/img417/4230/dscn0098gf9.jpg" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us" />

-The characters are now showing off thier new blue outfits for the Year of a million Dreams in not only "Dream Along with Mickey", but also now in the "Disney Dreams come True Parade" and the "Welcome Show". All other character events (including Meet and greets) were in the traditional outfits.

-The Crane is up for Castle Painting, and goes down around noon, just a bit after the 3rd Castle Party. Pryo for the castle party does not launch when the crane is up.

-Some odd charctors are popping up for the New Celebration as well, including Horace in the Welcome show and his friend Claribelle in the Family Fun Parade.

-The vender cart on the Southwest edge of the hub is under remodeling, scaffoling is up and all.

-Art corner still remains under wraps.

-The Peter Pan's Flight Building is still covered in scaffoling on the west side.

-Haunted Mansion still needs a rehab.

-The Hall of Presidents has re-opened, however, the seal did NOT get put under glass as orginally thought, nothing appears to have changed, except a new coat of paint. (I however, neglected to see the actual show.)

-The New countdown to showtime clocks at the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Country Bear Jamboree are now both fully operational. Both update every 2 minutes, and therefore only dispaly an even number.

-Look who's missing:

All the dwarfs were present Sunday in the same parade. :hammer:

-Gov. Radcliffe took Jafar's place on Sunday in the parade.

-Chernabog and the flying horse floats were both missing from Spectro.

On to Epcot!

-World Showcase was packed, but FW was really mildly crowded.



All and all, crowds were good, and weather was PERFECT!

Misc. A new billboard up on I-4:

-The new Hess station is coming along pretty good, and looks like it will have some sort of "traveling theme". The front of the store has a big map painted on it.

-EDIT: There are now new tickets that feature some sort of ride in black and white, and animated characters in color either on the ride or around it. The few I saw included The Incredibles on Astro Orbiter, Mickey and friends on the Haunted Mansion, and a few others. There is also a new Key to the World Card. See post #13 for one of the new tickets.

-Hoppin' Brer Rabit WAS WORKING ALL DAY!!!! Splash looked great!

Thanks for the update and nice pics! I like the new logos, but I hope they don't get extremely faded in the Florida sun since they are such light colors.

I'm not so sure that I really like the head to toe blue look on Mickey and Goofy.....but the rest look ok.

I was at the MK around 2-4 on Saturday, and again from 9am-10pm on Sunday.

The Opening Dancers have kept thier old show clothes. Only Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Goofy and Pluto's costumes have changed.

Here are the rest of the park tickets. Just as a note...these are from Allears and can be found at this link. You will have to scroll to the bottom to see these.

No word yet on what the new room keys look like...but I"m anxiously awaiting.

I never get excited about what the tickets look like, but these tickets are amazing!!! I was tickled fancy looking at them. I can't beleive the detail they put into them. Looks like Disney is getting back to the basics of the details again.

One thing to note is the incredables ticket, could this be a hint at a new ride coming soon???
