Changes to bus transportation for the water parks begins this weekend

I don't think anyone should be inconvenienced at Disney's prices. But if someone should be, a five-minute delay to get to DAK (which all of us experience) doesn't seem unreasonable to avoid a 30-minute delay for those going to the water park.

Personally, I'll make the best of it and book a Rainforest breakfast at 8:30 and then go to Blizzard Beach. But it's an inconvenience.
So you don't think it's going to cost Disney more money by adding dedicated buses?

And since they are now adding at least 2 more buses to go from AK to BB and DS to TL, they have to add more bus drivers and use more gas, so where are they saving money?????
Math is hard. They currently have about 15 bus loops to each water park. Now they will have one each. That saves money on driving and idling. Plus they can now have fewer DAK and DS buses due to a reduction in driving time and guest count. The buses to and from the water parks will be cheaper to run since it's only a five-minute drive and they will attempt to ensure that they run full.

Not seeing it that way. If, as you say, it is only a 5 minute trip, then remember that it is still only 1 bus driver for that loop under the older system. Now they will have to run at least 2 - 4 buses during the busier times, so 2 - 4 more bus drivers. And why would they have fewer DAK and DS buses? They still need to get to the 20 minute posted time as best they can, so there cannot be any reduction in the number of buses going from the resorts to DS or AK, just MORE buses to do the dedicated routes to the water parks. Math is easy.

The inconvenience and poor reliability of Disney transportation, is what led us to start renting cars in the first place. It's also what led us to going to Universal for part of our trip.
Sorry that you have had issues, but in literally hundreds of bus rides over the last decade, we have waited more than the 20 minute posted time exactly once. Once. Everyone's situation is different.

We waited about 40 minutes for a Typhoon Lagoon bus to get to POFQ earlier this month. We ended up getting an Uber back, it was about $5. That was the only trouble we had with buses.

Thats not answering the question. Ill rephrase. Do you think this was NOT about saving money?
No I don't, since they won't be saving any money, and will actually be spending more, since they still need the same amount of buses and drivers from the resorts to DS and AK, and they now have the ADDED expense of round trip buses from AK to BB, and DS to TL. Just because the routes are shorter has nothing to do with it.

How many buses will be removed form the resorts? Compare that to the whopping 2 buses they will add

Remember, I never said that other people haven't had problems, only that we have been extremely lucky and haven't.
