Celebration exploring incorporation

Are you talking about Reunion? Sorry...that ain't no Celebration! My wife and I visited it. Ugly homes for even more money than Celebration (it will be gated).

Are you talking about Baldwin Park? I haven't been there...but the pictures look close to Celebration.

Also of note: Celebration is finally selling out...after 10 years its just about built out (of home sites)...so, it makes sense to look at these sorts of things.

Also, Four Seasons (think Ritz Carlton, but more expensive) hasn't started building yet, when they get going things will get even more exclusive.

Sorry I left out a word.."here". I'm having alot of trouble today.

Here in NY, in the town next to me, they are building a "Celebration-like"
town (by the same designer) called Tuxedo Reserve, houses starting at $500,000.

Cooper Robertson and Bob Stern did the master plan for Celebration, it was a joint effort. In addition, we had several prized architects do specific buildings downtown. Cooper doesn't have anything listed on their site, but Bob does. So maybe just Bob is doing Tuxedo Reserve? Oh I fear for their budget! lol.

If this town is totally designed by that firm it will be scary how good looking that town will be.

But, in defense of Celebration, here you get Aldo Rossi, Michael Graves, Cesar Pelli etc. in addition to Bob Stern. So, its more varied. There's good and bad with that.

I must admit though, Bob is my favorite architect. I think I have a new goal! Living in Tuxedo Reserve!

I'm not sure of the particulars. There was an article in today's NYTimes and I can't find the Real Estate section. Its only about 30 miles north of NYC.

Its going to be interesting because a very old gated community, Tuxedo Park, is just a few minutes away. Alot of big names live there, some families with very long regional histories...its the birthplace of the Tuxedo...a song was written about it...Tuxedo Junction. They are very snooty and fight to keep progress from marching on.

EDIT: It is Bob Stern.
