i was just thinking with all of us disney freeks, geeks, what ever they call us-we all have one thing in common- we all loooooooooooooooooove disney!!!i just bought new house in se fla and cant relocate as of now but im dying to work at disney-why not let people like us work in a program that allows u to be a cast member for a day so then we can come back to our normal lives.sound kookie-well actually its not-it is actaully great for the company-after a while people get bored or tired and sometimes loose the disney touch-now what if they let us all loose in the park-lets say magic kingdom-of course we would have to abide by grooming standards and go through orientation -if u were a guest and got bomarded with super happy refreshed guys/gals-u would leave saying wow the cast members are really great-we have set a new level of service and at same time we have had real fun being cast members for a day

My mom was a marketing cast member for 10 years and she was working as a casual temporary employee, she only had to work 1 day every three months to keep her status. They also let her take position in the parks every so often for a day. I would work at disney if I got hired as a temporary casual employee but have not gone down to casting to check it out.

$$$$$$$

yes true-college program, internships, and entry level pay is not that hot -(like with any company) but professional positions-ie management, technical, executive is extremely competitive-so dont be discouraged thinking if ur not getting rich in college program come back when u graduate and youll have enough to but a nice new mickey mouse watch!:)

I find no interest in being a Cast Member...maybe cuz when u come right down to it...it's WORK...and the CMs don't really look like they're having fun.

But...I would like to try playing Mickey Mouse for a day....it must be cool having all the pretty ladies put their arm around you and hugging you....and all you have to do is get a cheap feel every now and then....yeah....that'll be cool.

I have a friend who works for the company. He knows a lot of the people who are the characters. He said once that usually Mickey is a girl in the costume. I think because of the height.
