I don’t really care about the LB or TSI much, but I still think a River should run through for purely aesthetic reasons.
I missed it, what was Marni’s warning? I looked but he posts so much it was hard to find.I’m surprised that Marni’s warning earlier in this thread that we’re not done losing beloved attractions didn’t warrant more conversation…
Hall of Pres? Or are they mad enough to do something to Big Thunder? Or something so crazy we can’t even imagine it yet…

Maybe they could repaint the rocks in Big Thunder Mountain to blend in more with the new, forest-like version of Frontierland.Hall of Pres? Or are they mad enough to do something to Big Thunder? Or something so crazy we can’t even imagine it yet…
Or, they're not...The nostalga brigrade back at it again i see.
Most of them local free loading annual pass holders.
Petition to put these all over the HM queue, (and also Liberty Square and Frontierland) right before they start work

Slap googly eyes on the Thunder Mountain locomotives and pretend it’s part of the Cars IP.Maybe they could repaint the rocks in Big Thunder Mountain to blend in more with the new, forest-like version of Frontierland.
Or maybe they can retheme Big Thunder Mountain to Bald Mountain and lump it in with the villains land!
Exactly right.Disney doesn't need a reason to replace something. Whether it's considered popular or not, if they feel the need to replace they will.
I'd say most reasons come before popularity. Starting with, what do we think will make us more money? That's the #1 reason first and foremost. Everything after is just used to justify the decision. Something like great movie ride. They made it seem like it wasn't popular. But it was 100% money driven. It was expensive to run, didn't move merch, would have been expensive to refurb. So run it into the ground, say it's not popular, and replace with Mickey! Then sell, sell, sell! Imagination is one of, if not the least popular attractions in all the parks. How long is that turd going to be allowed to sit? Answer? As long as figment has 3hr lines for popcorn buckets.Popularity may play a part to a degree. But it's not the only reason Disney keeps attractions or gives them the axe.
Can Disney/Iger buy Thomas the Tank Engine? Problem solved.Slap googly eyes on the Thunder Mountain locomotives and pretend it’s part of the Cars IP.
seeing the mansion, splash, big thunder, and the mills isn’t interesting?if there's just the bottom half of the island then everything interesting to see on the riverboat ride will be gone and the ride will be incredibly underwhelmingly short.
Those are all things you could see from walkways unlike the stuff in the back half which was nearly all unique. It's the same issue with the DAK boat ride except that doubled as transportation, had even more to see, and still got low enough guest scores it closed almost immediately in a park with next to nothing to doseeing the mansion, splash, big thunder, and the mills isn’t interesting?
And the boat ride would still be longer than the cars ride will be so unless you are saying the new cars ride will be “incredibly underwhelmingly short” that falls apart.
If you don’t like boat rides just say it haha. Most transportation rides you mostly see things you can see from the paths - just from a different perspective. Those are all things you could see from walkways unlike the stuff in the back half which was nearly all unique. I ride the riverboat nearly every time I visit. I take the ferry at least oke way if not both ways to get into Magic just because i love it even though its almost always the slower option. I literally sell a t shirt that days "weird boat rides make theme parks better."If you don’t like boat rides just say it haha. The DAK boats were way more complicated than that.
Yeah. The views from the island are similar to the boat. Those different perspectives you can’t get from the paths on the “mainland” are great. If you don’t like boat rides just say it haha. They could keep the River as is and build on an expansion pad and it wouldn’t be a nightmare.Especially if it makes all the villains land a nightmare to get in and out of.
