Carousel Inn Closing?

Having just helped a good friend book their trip here for December 2016, they were quite excited. However, now I have heard that Disney is closing the Hotel In October 2016? What do you think our options are?

They would probably be happier at the Howard Johnston's a few hundred feet up the road. It's actually pretty nice and Tomorrowland retro. It's got a small water park.

It isn't owned by disney... therefor they can't close its only Carousel inn that can close it

They didn't buy it they are just good neighbor hotels not slapped with disney branding here and there

They might have bought out the rights to make it a good neighbor hotel

It will be listed as a good neighbor hotel until they close it, as they still sell travel packages for it.

It was a Good Neighbor hotel before Disney bought it. It's still a Good Neighbor hotel, but that doesn't mean it's not owned by Disney

While the hotel is still operating as a Good Neighbor Hotel; it is now owned by Disney. It was purchased by Disney in early August, 2015 along with 2 other nearby office buildings. A simple Google search will show countless articles (not on Disney blog sites) that confirm the purchase.
