I know we talk a lot about dSLR's in here -- and I have always stated that I leave the dSLR at home when I go on vacation and just put a compact camera in my pocket....

Well, I promised to share the photos from my December trip, all taken with the Canon S95, with nothing else to lug along. Note that the only post processing done on these is usually some color saturation (I prefer bright colors) and cropping. Otherwise that's about it.

It truly is an amazing camera for its size and cost.

The low-light performance is particularly remarkable. Did you use a tripod (or wall or trashcan) for the nighttime castle shots?

No, I never use a tripod, even with a dSLR -- and with a compact, it completely defeats the purpose of a camera you can throw in your pocket...

These are all just handheld shots, all taken in Aperture priority with Flash forced off. Most of them are taken at f 2.0
