Hi, I've been scouring the internet for a while now, and I can't seem to find the answer. Since most things are back to normal now at WDW, can you eat/drink in the Tiki Room again? I loved getting a Dole Whip or other cold snack and watching the Tiki Room show. We'll be going back to WDW again in a few weeks and are wondering if that's possible again.

Thanks-Mike

True story- my wife brought “smarties” and passed em out before the show for everyone in our group - just a bit of sugar to keep us going, as we do parks like Roman Conqueror style…
The Sweet CM in charge of waking Jose - jumped all of our tushes for eating- and told us we would be escorted out if we continued. We were not loud, or smacking… she had seen us popping the little sugar pills in our mouths, and came briskly over during the show to reprimand us! We obeyed, as we understand their jobs can be challenging- but it has become a family inside joke ever since!
So my take is:
NO EATING in tiki room!
Makes me smile recalling it!

Well thats disturbing. Disney shouldnt allow food in any attractions. Maybe an adult is going to be careful with food stuff, but kids certainly arent. Nothing worse than sitting down and you end up on someones sticky mess. Or stepping on some crunchy food that spilled on the floor.

We’ve been to the Tiki room many many times. I’ve seen the CM at the entrance tell people they can’t bring drinks or food into the attraction. There are times when the CM gets distracted or they are short staffed and people take things like Dole Whip in. I can’t imagine it was ever officially allowed. But hey, we’re in a world where most anything goes in some guests minds.

In addition to the sticky mess, all I can think of is the garbage that people will leave behind! I mean, let's admit it, people are slobs!! Think of all the nasty Starbucks cups you see left on grocery store shelves!!! Ugh

I've been going there for almost 40 years and I never knew of any "legal" eating in The Tiki Room. I do recall that originally, in Disneyland Walt planned on it being a restaurant. I don't know if he changed his mind before it opened or if they tried it and it didn't work.
