Can I bring a toaster to plug in the room? Is this allowed.
while personally it seems unnecessary to me, i dont think its specifically banned.

and to all the fear mongers here, about fire.. just use it with caution like you would at home.

dont leave it plugged in and watch it while you use it, i dont think ive ever set off the smoke alarm at home with the toaster.

lol nice, while its not something i've done, i could see myself doing it.

especially at the values as the food court is really far from the room to get a cup of morning caffeine.

and while personally i'm against keurig's for their environmental impact, even the inventor wishes he never invented them.

Why the Inventor of Keurig K-Cups Says He Doesn’t Use the Plastic Coffee Pods

they do have some practical uses in cases where you dont want to make a mess.

The answer is no as heard before create smoke/safety hazard. But this doesn't mean that people are sneaky enough to bring in electric skillets or fryers to cook in their rooms. But if you are lucky enough to have a resort with a balcony than problem solved, its possible.

Again, they have toasters in the Villas, so I don't know what the big deal is. And my studio apartment in NYC is smaller than the smallest resort room at Disney and my toaster has never once set off a smoke alarm. As Shakespeare says, this is all much ado about nothing.

Villas have GFI outlets and fire extinguishers. I've seen in several places that toasters are not allowed in regular hotel rooms but I cannot find anything officially from Disney. Still looking.

EDIT: all I can find is several posts on the Mom's Panel stating hot plates and toasters are restricted from regular resort rooms due to fire codes.

technically all hotel rooms would have at least one gfi outlet by the sink

and while on paper they may be restricted, i doubt its really something that is a high priority to keep watch for.

the key with anything is common sense while using, unfortunately common sense isn't all that common anymore.

I bring a toaster with me to the parks, in my SUV stroller. I use it for my picnic at the new MK lawn.

sarcasm i hope, though i wouldn't be surprised. you can plug it in by the tangled bathrooms

I'm not sure it is any more wasteful than brewing more coffee than you need, using a filter, packaging for the bag, resources for transporting and processing the beans...etc...then pouring out more than I drink.
Yes, kcups are an environmental problem, but so is bottled water and any other waste we generate. I think there has to be a solution to the environmental impact and surely there will be fully biodegradable kcups in the future.
I like the convenience and practicality of quickly making one cup at at time and all the different flavors out there. And we drive, so bringing the Keurig mini is easy.

That's why I only use the pods that are made of whale blubber and conflict diamonds.
