California Grill & HEA

Headed to WDW in July and were able to grab California Grill ADR at 8:45P. Planning to arrive between 8:15-8:30. I feel like this is enough time to get seated, settled, and probably at least order before going out to watch HEA at 9:15P. I would have preferred an 8:15P, but 8:45 was the best I could do at 186 days. Can someone who has been provide some insight? Am I estimating this right?

Tell the servers you want to watch the fireworks. They will be able to adjust the timing of your service to accommodate. Get a drink and maybe an app, and then return afterwards for your main course. They do this all the time.
