News Buzzy’s been stolen?

So... If Buzzy and Hypothalamus are luckily found, what would Disney do with them? Finally put them in Archives, or because cut wires and other possible damage has been done, just destroy them?

I could see them keeping Hypothalamus's head if they get it back. There are a number of decapitated animatronic heads in their collection like America Sings's Sam Eagle.

The fact that Disney has said nothing about this on the record suggests, A) They are embarrassed and want to find Buzzy before commenting, or B) This was them taking it out all along and there's really nothing for them to report on, and they are enjoying the free publicity.

Or C: They want to keep quiet because Disney wouldn't want to publicly acknowledge the fact that they were robbed and that there is a hole in security. If a bad guy catches wind of this, they could try to plan a terror attack or something.

My first time in Wonders was 2012 and I don't remember a thing about it. I just know quite a bit about the place

My first visit was similar. I'm assuming the last time I visited WoL when it was operating was about 2005, and I was a child then. All I remembered about it for years was some theater show that scared me with loud alarms. I always assumed this was something in The Land, but when I became interested in Disney Parks when I was older, I realized that I was remembering Cranium Command.

I've been working on this story all weekend and glad to finally have gotten some concrete evidence out there of the current theater! Still not enough evidence to prove either way, but things are leaning against Buzzy being stolen.

Claims:
-Oil splattered everywhere [False or they somehow cleaned the oil without wiping off any dust lol]
-Buzzy ripped off platform [False]
-Disney reported Buzzy Stolen [Leaning False since nobody has produced such document, although the OCSO public records office has been closed for weekend/holidays]
-Buzzy at Archives? [Maybe, nothing to confirm or deny yet]
-Buzzy at Imagineering? [Maybe, nothing to confirm or deny yet]

2 weird things pointing towards stolen:
-Hypothalamus wasn't even "removed," they left the whole mechanism and took his head which makes little sense if he was going to Archives or Imagineering. A big part of an animatronic is the fact that it animates.
-The wires. With animatronics Disney saves they usually keep as much wiring as possible extending from the animatronic and hide it under the base of the animatronic when on display.

Brayden, thank you so much for organizing all of this in your video. I especially appreciate it considering it's Christmas Eve. Go take a couple days off, you deserve it!

I know nothing has really come out about Body Wars either, but i've heard there's been some thievery back there too. The stuff back there that Archives wants is sitting untouched though, so I would imagine they'd clean sweep the pavilion if this were the case. (And Disney, if you're reading this, DON'T WASTE ANOTHER SECOND. GET BACK THERE AND TAKE WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE TAKES IT.)

They should take the stuff in the upstairs Imageworks to the archives too. IMO that stuff is just as important.

I am not actually making any claims. I am skeptical of the theft story, but don't have the evidence to come right out and say it's false. Based on some of the stories people have told on here in the past, skepticism is warranted.

I feel really conflicted about this. I know stealing is very wrong and I don't condone it at all but... I'm concerned. One one hand, it seems like Disney might have been doing something important with Buzzy; testing him, which gives me a little hope. If this is so and they might do something good with him, I want him to be found. On the other hand, if they were planning on stripping him for parts or just going to let him rot in a warehouse, instead of the theater, I don't want him found. Even if the people who stole him didn't really care about him, the buyer probably would, knowing how much he would sell for if they ever got a chance.

Also, for those thinking that young people can't truly care about this because they were too young at the time or only saw it online- don't. I never saw Buzzy in person, but this happening has made me pretty upset and I feel like my own child(if I had one that is!) has been stolen. I want my baby back.

I have to ask again... when was the last time that Disney removed an AA from a closed attraction and told anybody about it. They are not going to use it again so all they had to do at this point is just cut the stuff that will never be used and either stuff it put the AA in the archive, non-working and just put it on a shelf someplace. The incentive to remove it may be as simple as not having anything for anyone to see there for cutting way down on the trespassing. This ranks right up there with the old Paul McCartney is dead rumor. He looks pretty alive to me.

Exactly. When the Wonders fanbase was started on twitter, I was 12, and the cofounder was 14. Now he's departed, but there are plenty of young people who care about Wonders and EPCOT Center out there. Heck, just look at many of the urbex videos out there. I don't condone it, but many of them are just from kids

And then smuggling out somehow. If Disney actually knows who the potential buyer is there would have been a search warrant issued already and investigated. Disney has Buzzy. Great news story for people with nothing better to talk about though.

Nobody can confirm if Buzzy was stolen because the OCSO public records office has been closed.

Nobody can confirm if Buzzy is at Archives or Imagineering because Disney's job isn't debunking rumors.

Point being, the lack of evidence isn't from a lack of trying, it's just simply going to take time. The incident report (or lack thereof) will be the closest thing to definitive proof as to what happened with Buzzy and Hypothalamus and until we get that, the photos we published today are about as close as we're going to get. At least we know for sure Buzzy is actually missing now.

Disney doesn't have as many cameras as people think. Most cameras are concentrated where money is being handled. If a group of people looked like they were doing legitimate work it's very rare that anyone would stop and question them. I've always said if you have a plain white truck or van and enough confidence you can get away with almost anything at WDW.

Disney’s silence doesn’t make sense to me. If they could shoot this down they would. The public take is that someone somehow gained access to a supposedly very secure theme park and that can’t stand... unless it’s true.
