Buying a vacation condo in Orlando area

A question for locals and experts on the Orlando area.

My wife and I are seriously considering purchasing a Summer/Vacation condo in the Orlando area. I have looked at several properties on line, and I am amazed at how inexpensive they are right now.

Can anyone give me some advice on where to look? The current towns we are looking at are Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden, Altamonte Springs and Winter Haven. What are these areas like?

Any comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :wave:

Vacation Condos

If you would like to rent the condo as a vacation rental, be sure to look for a property in a short term rental zoned community. You will find these the closer you get to Disney. The cities you listed most likely do not zone for short term rental. If you are looking for this, consider Kissimmee, some in South Orlando, Clermont and Davenport.

If you do not wish to rent it out to vacation guests, the other areas you listed all have nice areas and benefits. Be sure to find a neighborhood that best meets the needs of your family.
