BTM Saftey Spiel

Does anyone know when they had changed the Dallas Mckennon Saftey Spiels on BTM?

You use to hear this one in the early years...


But, when was this one introduced?? This is the one that is in use now..

It was changed when they added a Spanish spiel and added the verbiage "hands, arms, feet and legs inside" and "supervise your children" to all existing safety spiels. So, early to mid 00’s. This was also when they added spiels to rides that previously didn't have them, like Tower of Terror.

It's funny because until I heard the 2nd spiel, I could've sworn the 1st version was still what was played! It's become so ingrained in my head from the time I was very young riding it at DL that that's the version I automatically hear.

I remember when this changed, cuz I really didn't like the way he said "WILDERNESS". It was much better the old way.

Ah ok - I was listening to the in-car audio and I thought that a Spanish safety spiel would feel a bit non-immersive!
