Two weeks from today I will be going to Disney with my daughter and two nieces, but without my wife. She is currently pregnant with twins and due to Zika will be staying home this trip. I have been trying to give her some Disney Magic, I tried to make "the Grey Stuff" and I bought Dole Whip base to make at home, but I am looking for any suggestions on what I can do to bring the magic home.

One year my husband couldn't go on a spring break trip due to work. To this day we still get sad thinking about the moment he dropped us off at the airport and had to say good-bye. We did get him souvenirs and he loved how thoughtful the kids were picking things out. I just took tons upon tons of videos and sent them to him throughout the day - scanning the inside of the Mexico pavilion, eating here or there, walking anywhere, the MK bands in all the lands, waiting for the parades - anything that showed him what we were doing and, most importantly, the kids doing it. It was the closest we could be together and have him enjoy the trip "with" us. It helped a lot.

Took my idea - We have actually purchased the shampoo and conditioner from the rooms (and we try to get fresh ones every day from Mousekeeping). The fragrance is a great reminder of our favorite place.

Don't know your budget- but you can always go park exclusive Pandora Bracelet...

This is a great idea we will have to do this for her! Thanks for the tip!

With her missing out on an entire vacation I could take the money saved and get her something more expensive, I was considering getting her one of the Dooney & Burke purses from Magic Kingdom.

There are so many styles - of bags & designs. If you know what she likes, this is a great idea. I use my Vera Bradley ones everyday. If you don't know what she would like, it would be wonderful to have her look at them and get an idea. This is hard, of course, if you wanted to surprise her.
I wonder - with the Disney Parks Shopping App and all the stores around - should there be a question as to what else is available - if you could exchange it for something more "her style" after the trip. Not trying to put a damper on an extremely thoughtful idea - just thinking outloud of possibilities so you're both thrilled with the gift.

No, she is picky, thankfully she is always showing me what she likes so I have a general idea. Plus she loves a perfume they have in the French Pavilion too...

One trip I made alone because DW health issues kept her home. I did several things that brought Disney back to her. I got a passport from EP and went to every country, I had the CM's write her a personal note in their foreign language and english. I got her favorite character to write her a best wishes note and autograph it. And I took her stuffed Disney character with me and photographed it in various places around the resort, the parks and rides.

Do you guys seriously like that citrus-y shampoo? I bring home the little bottles just for the Mickey ears on top LOL. But I really don't like the smell of the product so much.

Awwwwwww. Can I give you my husband's number so you can teach him how to be thoughtful? He just doesn't get the concept. Anytime I would nicely say that doing something for me would be thoughtful, he always replies that I didn't ask him to do it. I try to explain - that's why it's considered thoughtful!!!! Ugh.:banghead::p

Many moons ago, my then bf (now husband) was doing a dudes trip to Florida. He sent me one of the coconut postcards from the Poly, which was fun to receive.

LOL I wasn't even the least bit interested in a Pandora bracelet....UNTIL Disney did one....good idea! :) Just reread and they have EXCLUSIVE PARK charms? Like different than Disney online shopping? Now I am tempted to start my own bracelet by purchasing at least one charm on site. :)

I like to make the Colony House Chicken Salad....from LTT....the recipie doesn't include craisins but they are there as the sponsor on that salad...so I add the reduced sugar ones.....I love this one.....I usually use the pregrilled cooked chicken from Trader Joes....its rather easy to throw together once you make the dressing.
