Booking Restaurants

Hi all

I'm told it's a good idea to book Disney restaurants early if possible, trouble is I'm not going until the end of September and I don't fancy calling from England and paying the international charges if I can help it.

I can't seem to find an email address or a way to book online with either the Rainforest Cafe (Animal Kingdom) or the Sci Fi Drive in.

Do you think I'll be ok booking upon arrival in the US?

You're well inside your 180-day window, and you should be able to book both of those through the MDE app on your phone or online. Right now, I can see a ressie for 2 at Sci-Fi on 11 Sept at 3:45 pm. You will not likely be happy with your Sci-Fi times if you wait much longer.

Rainforest Cafe has times at 5:15, 5:30 and 5:45 (17:15, 17:30 and 17:45).

Do you not have your booking linked to MDE? The majority of people make their bookings though the site/app, and as mentioned above you are well within your 180 day window - for end of September it must have been open since the end of March.

With the way restaurant reservations work now, leaving it until you get there is definitely not recommended. I'd think that most guests start making them as soon as their 180 day mark arrives.

Just to add, if you haven't linked to MDE yet I strongly suggest doing so if you want fastpasses as your 60 day window likely opens within the next couple of weeks.

I'm a bit of a novice at this you see, to be honest I didn't even know what MDE was until you just mentioned it.

I've downloaded the app now and am booking as we speak

You can book dining starting at 180 days prior.
Going in September people have been abel to book dining for months plus its free dining.
Its gonna be hard to snag certain ADR's like Sci-Fi at this point but Rainforest Cafe at AK has plenty of openings from what I see.
There is no reason to call or email.
Just go to the website.
