Looks like Chapek will be stuck as CEO.

Disney names Susan Arnold as board chair, replacing Bob Iger

Susan Arnold is taking over as Disney's chairman of the board, the company announced Wednesday, succeeding Bob Iger.

It was pretty obvious that once the CEO and Chairman roles were split that it was very unlikely they'd promote Chapek back into having the dual role.

In fact most corporate governance experts have been pushing for the separation for a long time -

The percentage of S&P 500 companies whose chief executives also serve as chairman reached 45.6% in 2018, the lowest percentage in at least a decade, according to data compiled for The Wall Street Journal.

So overall this is a good thing, and with promoting a woman to the role shows Disney is serious about inclusion.
