I saw Blast! countless times at Epcot and once on tour.

I saw BlastII Shockwave countless times at Epcot and twice on tour. And I have the best souvenir from the show ever! *cough* my very own performer *cough*:animwink:

They're all extended family to me- though one is a little closer to our family than the rest!

My friends and I met a performer from Blast after the show we saw on our Band Trip to Cleveland last spring. Here's a picture of us.

Question for BLAST Fans......

Please take this for what it is....just a question.

I bought the BLAST CD thinking it would be an exciting, loud, upbeat marching band recording that would give me a pretty good idea about how great this show would be to see.

What I heard upon listening to the CD, however, was pretty tame, not mixed very well, and kind of boring. It left me disappointed and, quite frankly, glad I did not pay to go see it.

The question is: What exactly happens during the show to make it as exciting as I have heard it is, seeing as the music alone does not seem to be enough to do it?

What I really want is a little convincing from you to give it a second chance next time it comes around.

Thanx!

I agree with that. The CD is NOTHING like the live performance. The show is pretty much what you would see a marching band do on a football field-only on stage. They march around, there is a flag corps and lots of cool lighting and special effects. The drum section in really cool. They do a lot of little tricks with their sticks and instruments. A lot of the musicians throw their instruments to each other and up in the air doing tricks.

It is really a cool show and I would recommend going to see it.

There is one sequence called "Loss" that has a solo player suspended from the stage playing with others below signaling a loss. The whole idea of the song is to envoke the felling of loss and what you are loosing. The ablity never to speak again, never to play music, etc.

Very cool. You'll appreceate the CD more once you see the show.

Thanks NIKIMSU and TESTTRACK!!!

I knew there had to be more to it!

I'll definitely have to catch them next time they are through this way to see what I've been missing!

It must be a big help to be able to visualize what is happening on the stage while you are listening at home.

THANX!!!
