So we checked-in at the hotel about 45 minutes ago. We would’ve gotten here before 5 but traffic was really bad in Orlando. Overall, we still made great time. I think this is the earliest we’ve ever gotten here.

It’s about to pour rain, but after it passes, I think we’re gonna head over to DS and get something to eat.

Just got back from DS and I’m currently watching HEA. You can see it very well from the hotel that we’re staying at tonight. Gonna get a few things ready for the morning then I’m probably going to bed. Our goal is to be at Music by 7:30 and on a bus to EPCOT no later than 8.

Well, unless I give any more updates throughout the week or attempt to do some semi-live reporting (highly doubt), I guess that’s a wrap on this pre-trip report. Hopefully I’ll be ready to start a TR in a week or so.

Been looking forward to this trip for a while. Can’t wait for tomorrow!

Thought I’d give a quick update. Day 1 is going great! Crowds are not as bad as I thought they’d be.

We’ve reached the point of St. Patty’s Day when everyone in WS is hammered. :hilarious: But the drunk entertainment hasn’t failed to disappoint! We’ve seen a grown woman (50ish) lay down in the middle of the walkway screaming that she had to have another beer or she would die and 3 people be escorted out by OCSD.

The weather has also been very pleasant. (knock on wood) Mid 60s and no humidity.

More updates to come!

Just got to our room at Music (Broadway) about 30 mins ago after a great 1st day at EPCOT! I just can’t get over how low the crowds were today. With it being spring break, St. Patty’s Day, and the weekend, I thought it would be slammed packed. And the weather was fantastic. I don’t think it got above 66.

Hopefully tomorrow will be as good as today! That’s all for now. We’ve got an early bus to catch in the morning if we want to rope-drop FoP during EMH.

I think Emily Blunt did a much better job than Julie Andrews did playing Mary Poppins as the way P.L. Travers portrayed her in the books
I thought Blunt gave Mary Poppins more depth, especially in the end scene. She seemed disappointed at leaving the Banks children behind, almost as if she knew she might not see them again. Blunt kind of dug deep into Poppins’s character and portrayed her in a way that we, normal humans, could connect with her. By the end of the movie, I felt like she was an actual person instead of a happy-go-lucky magical nanny.
