I would love to see what they did to the DL BTM and bring that tech to World... It was awesome when we rode it last weekend.

Is it getting the new ending or not? I don't have time to read over seven pages. In fact, someone should sticky the answer toward the top of this thread for the convenience of others who want to know the same answer.

I think they should just blow the budget and go all out for a truly memorable ending. They can plagiarize Universal and extend it out into the parking lot Definitely send people home with a unique memory!

What's the difference between BTM in DL vs. WDW?

I believe the track layout is mirrored. (though I can say I also though it ran smoother too in DL)

So WDW NT put up their article a few days ago saying the explosion ending is coming, but this was well after @WDW1974, @marni1971 and @Jim Hill all said the same thing.

As you can see WDW is based closely on the 1979 original with a few little changes in layout.

I love long refurbs! Seriously. I've had my share of attractions closed while visiting, and it's a bit of a bummer, but it's well worth it if they get much needed love.

Better make a trip in August. I think that's when the refurb ends.

We decided on end of July due to this and Soaren. Are we setting ourselves up to be sorely disappointed like when we missed SDMT by 3 days? At least I guess we will get to finally ride that this time.

When Disney mistakenly published their list of all of this year's closures last August they listed the dates as April 4 - July 16. Now they are only saying July. The mid July date is likely a target with some room for delays built in.

TAs are reporting it's no longer on the refurb list. If you look at MDE for the month of June, it now shows times for BTMR. It doesn't show any times as of July but that doesn't mean a lot.

I assumed so. But TAs here in the Great Britain arent exactly the greatest source of accurate information. Sites like the screen grab are usually better sources

Well, well, well. Looks like BTMR might be back on the menu for my April trip.

They had better not cancel this. The ride needs a healthy refurb for maintenance reasons alone, and we were supposed to get the 3rd lift explosion effects from Disneyland (along with the other enhancements from DL, which even Paris is also getting). Not another budget cut...

It's still quoted as closing for refurb in August, just looks like a slippage in dates.
