I'm beginning to think that the title of this thread should have been "Mediocre Changes Coming to EPCOT'S Future World".
And no one seems to call out Josh for all of this?? He’s the one in charge of the parks. It's sad losing areas I love in other parks due to supposedly not being themed enough or being wasted space while Disney spends many millions and something like five years emphasizing just how much it doesn't give a care about beauty, consistent theming, or efficiently using space elsewhere.
they should have replaced the word Changes" to "Mess"...lol Just ear out the marketing planter and all the in-ground lighting in one fell swoop and build the proper show fountain the should have been there from the star with some 20th century fiberoptic sparkles in the pavement... Program it to follow the show sequences in that area and everyone would be a lot happier. The area feels too corporate and mostly joyless.
They probably have no clue what to write since they know they messed this project up.I’m starting to worry that we’re just not gonna have a dedication plaque at all anymore, let alone a new one. There’s still nothing in that spotView attachment 812413
I mean, the park is so far removed from its original mission when it was dedicated/re-dedicated that it might actually be more appropriate to just leave it as is...I’m starting to worry that we’re just not gonna have a dedication plaque at all anymore, let alone a new one. Destroy the symmetry of the hub, destroy historic buildings, and cut the cost of air conditioning. What actually was even the point of building this?
The ground lights have little to do with Disney and more to do with the light distributer. Clearly they sold Disney bad lights as led are not meant to die this fast.
I disagree. In my opinion, Disney should have done their proper research AND TESTING backstage before installing this on stage. THEY HAD FIVE YEARS TO TEST BACKSTAGE! The problem was they knew they took too long on this work and rushed the lighting into the ground to get finished with whatever they were trying to do.The ground lights have little to do with Disney and more to do with the light distributer. It’s actually embarrassing how much of a failure it is given 5 years of construction.I disagree. This entire Future World transformation was a huge mistake and failure in my opinion. The only good thing is that the walls are down
I disagree about the stuff before, MG and EU was very dated and ugly imo. I much prefer the updated open air designed communicoreIt’s actually embarrassing how much of a failure it is given 5 years of construction.
We also lost several well themed spaces at least well themed in comparison to the stuff we have now. The older club cool, Electric Umbrella, Mouse Gear. Replaced with Starbucks and Target bland designs. It’s just such a shame.
Even if they were dated it felt like there was effort put into theme. The latest designs just feel cheap, lazy, and generic. To me. It’s okay to modernize things, but it can still have charm.I disagree about the stuff before, MG and EU was very dated and ugly imo. I much prefer the updated open air designed communicore
