Do we know why this process is taking so long? It cannot be that complicated to fill these in, unless there’s more to it that we don’t know about?
When they lifted up the plastic panels, they found this underneath:

haha I was gonna say I actually kinda like it 😂 esp given that its just a fancy bandaid as I still say its gonna be under 10 years until they bulldoze this area again
I was hoping they put some glass in the cement to give it sparkle.

I love your optimism that it will be less than 10 years 😍

Josh is in charge, so who knows? My rational mind says Josh will do nothing to rock the boat, my magical thinking says he will do great things for the fans that the Disney spreadsheeters hate.

Too early to tell.

I walked through this "finished" area for the first time last week. It was still behind construction walls on my last trip in 2022.

To say it was jarring is an understatement. You walk through the beautiful, open, light and airy new entrance, with the energy and movement of the fountain and people and then ~ you get to this area. I had honestly forgotten about it, until I stumbled into it. I was there a little after opening, so people were streaming in. Not one person was in the new area, not even to just walk through it. It was bare, barren and felt completely out of place.

On my way out at 2:30, it was also empty.
