Just a guess, but the planters probably mean they are taking another stab at fixing OR cementing over the ground lighting. I suspect we will never get a fountain.

We've seen them do planters for a couple days then walls with other projects.

The rather bare and unimpressive central planter usually gets updated overnight.

Nothing announced. The optimist is me says they’re going to bring in jackhammers overnight, rip out the center spine and re-do it from scratch. The realist in me says… some light (not LED-connected) concrete work.

I could see them taking a middle-ground route with this and essentially rebuilding just the central planter and the immediate surrounding pathways but leaving everything else in the spine alone.

Festivals displays usually don’t require planters.

I’m going to assume that they are going with planters because it’ll be easier to move at night to get work done.

Middle ground for Disney these days is adding more tap cons... Adding a fountain would mean more infrastructure, pump room etc... I would think they are going to skate on the Mulva planter for years to come.

I didn’t mean a fountain, just a slight reimagining of what’s there.
