my pitch would be add a small fountain to the middle area (as this was the original plan before the covid cuts) and put in normal lake fountains near odyssey and imagination

in addition just arm chair imaginnerring ive always felt the EPCOT model in peoplemover should be moved to the odyssey an that become a history of epcot kinda space where we can actually have more then 5 seconds to look at the model, or even a temporary country pavillion that rotates themes

years ago even before the Millenium Village they toyed with the idea of a "black box" pavilion where the countries would change out from time to time.

They could even make this model complete again like it was when it was in Disneyland.

I wish that they would have incorporated a stream that started at the Walt Disney statue and that would flow with occasional small falls until it ran into a new fountain area like FoN.

Nothing about this redo makes any sense to me.
I have very mixed feelings about the fact that there is a Walt Disney statue considering they could have easily put one there in 1982 and decided not to. The deification of Walt as some sort of corporate mascot and the implication that he would automatically approve of what his namesake company does these days just rubs me the wrong way, never mind the fact that EPCOT is supposed to be about the achievements of mankind not just one man.

Eh, there’s a difference between a statue of a guy who’s been dead for 12 years and a guy who’s been dead for 55 years.

I'm just wondering who has been dead for 12 years and who has been dead for 55 years. Walt didn't fit the former in 1982 and only fit the latter in 2021, before this was done.

It's worse than "KFC's desecration of Colonel Sander's formerly of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I'm joking, but then again not.
Both companies have taken a product line well off course from the one its founder created, and was proud of - all the while resurrecting his image as though he approves of the new course.

They sometimes seem to use the image and the idea of Walt to champion almost exactly that which he held in disdain.
