Best way to get a cab at resort hotel?

Hey All, I am staying at Port Orleans Riverside Next weekend and we need to get to Epcot's parking lot and the Disney Fitness Expo really early in the morning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is all for the princess half marathon weekend. Our hotel isn't a host hotel, therefore we dont have shuttles to take us to these places.

Does anyone recommend the best way to get a cab at a resort hotel? We have to leave by like 4 in the morning on Saturday and Sunday and probably by 7 or 8 AM on Friday. Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Generally the taxi's are out of sight at resorts. Bellhops generally call them forward (can offer a small tip for doing so.) Disney at the resorts have their sanctioned taxi companies they call forward which thwarts the gypsy taxi companies.

Unless something has changed, that is not the case. At every resort I have been to, they are right near the entrance, but off to the side. At least this is the case for the AS, Pop, WL, CSR. Maybe the monorail resorts are different.

The front desk can make that happen with no problem! Don't sweat it:D Good Luck!!
Absolutely right littleroo! I've never had any problems and it never takes more than 5 or 10 minutes (usually less) for a cab to arrive. We've started taking more cabs in the last few years when we have a late dinner somewhere like Boma or the Polynesian and the only way back to our resort would be to go to Downtown Disney and then to our resort. Not a pleasant way to end a wonderful evening.
