Which Family?
Was stuck once on Wedway at the SM window and the lights were on in SM .. That was really neat.
Was stuck on SSE 3 times in one trip but we knew it was coming... We saw 2 people in scooters/wheelchairs coming in.

Was stuck once on Wedway at the SM window and the lights were on in SM .. That was really neat.
Was stuck on SSE 3 times in one trip but we knew it was coming... We saw 2 people in scooters/wheelchairs coming in.
Fairly recently I was stuck on Dinosaur for about 5 minutes in the pitch blackness when you return from the past. There was a little kid behind me screaming because he was afraid of the dark...

Been stuck plenty of times, but some of my faves were:
Getting stuck at the end of ToT .. We were turned slightly toward the door to exit, and the lights came up, so I got to see some backstage I hadn't seen before. The guy next to me pulled out a book and read for the nearly 10 minutes we sat there.
On Dinosaur, 2 weeks after it opened, we got stuck, pointing slightly downward, at the end, right before the carnotaur's head pops out at you. We sat there for almost 20 minutes, and my husband busts out with, "And Bubba died, right there by that river!" That started a plethora of great lines while we sat waiting. Eventually, the carn's head popped out, and we continued on our way.
On TT, the car stopped on the loop outside. We were sitting at the angle for quite some time, when finally 4 CMs came out and pushed us back into the station. I felt bad for them .. those cars, esp. when full of people, must weigh a ton!

My family and I took a trip in '07 for a reunion, and we all decided to take a ride on Everest. Instead of going backwards on the top of the mountain, it decides to stop and we are evacuated. The CMs come and get us off and we had to walk all the way down the mountain, all the whille getting to see the guts and glory of the "forbidden mountain". Very cool.

I've been stuck and evacuated from two rides at Disney.
First, there was the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The honey pot my family and I were in got stuck in the rain scene. After a few minutes, they turned the lights on and a CM came and escorted us out. It was really neat to see it all lit up!
The coolest thing, though, was when my family and I got stuck on Expedition Everest. We were all the way at the top, right after you start moving backwards and you pause to watch the silhouette of the yeti break apart the tracks. We sat there, staring at that wall for about 10 minutes before a CM came over the loud speaker and said that we were being escorted off the ride. But, like I said, we were all the way at the top! I tried to videotape it, but the CM said no cameras so I had to put it away. We walked down 17 flights of stairs and through various areas in the mountain. It was so neat to see all of the equipment and stuff that is behind the scenes! Not to mention the fact that I can now say I've scaled Mount Everest
It was way cool to walk inside the mountain!
Plus, we got fast passes for anytime throughout the day. Whoo hoo!

on my last trip my family and i got stuck in the gran fiesta tour right at the final scene with the three caballeros singing. i don't know how many times we watched the same sequence play over and over. the three caballeros song comes in a close second to its a small world in level of annoyance. :ROFLOL:
I'm trying to think of another one because I have already used up most of my best stuck on ride stories...
Oh yeah, here's an older one...
When I was I think 12 we went on Splash Mountain and got stuck at the very top of the hill just about to go down. We were there for a good 7-8 minutes and I was worried that when we started moving again that we would drop instantly. Sure enough that did happen and it scared the crap out of me. It caught me completely off guard...

Me either but lots of times the ride stops right before we get on.(on our last trip, Buzz froze twice right before we were about to ride.)

Got stuck on SM a couple years ago. It was cool because the guy in the rocket with me was a bigger WDW geek than even I am, and he we were both so fired up to be inside with the lights on! The rocket in front of us had a couple of kids in it that didn't speak english and had no idea what was going on! Kinda funny. We sat for about 15 minutes then they came and pushed us over the hill we were on and we got to ride the rest with the lights on. Very cool!

Nice pics! I especially like the second & third pictures. It shows the stairs for CMs and the wear of the steel.
The fourth pic...one door surveillance, level 3...where is this on SM?

If I remember right we were stuck right before the little dip near the shuttle and the station (the glass with the people looking through, watching the astronauts work on the shuttle). I've got video of the ordeal too, maybe i'll try to get that up on youtube or something, its kinda cool. The floodlights actually came on when we were at the very top/beginning, but we didn't get stopped until what must be the first braking section.

The only ride I've gotten stuck on is Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I got stuck where the targets are on the wall. A nice way to rack up points. :animwink:
