Being from Australia this has always felt like a far away dream.

Me (26 when we go) and my then 21 year old brother will be going to WDW from Feb 24-March 1.

Now I have just found out my best friend wants me to come to NY and go to DLR with her!!

WDW and DLR in the one holiday? Surely it can't get much better than this!!!

It still hasn't sunken in that I am going yet lol

Wow, that's a lot of flying -- but what an exciting itinerary!

Very exciting! :)

It hasn't even hit me yet that I am going to America let alone Disney lol

LOL, I love Australians! I have family in Australia and they came to visit once. I loved their accents and the different terms for different things. My cousin asked us for chips and we gave her some potato chips. What she really wanted was French fries. She asked for tomato juice and we were so confused. She goes, "It's called ketchup in America". It was fun learning the different lingo! I miss my cousins.

Are you planning on seeing other places while you're in Florida and California? Or are you just going to Disney?

lol Tomato sauce as opposed to ketchup. Thongs as opposed to flip flops lol. Shops as opposed to mall.

I keep finding them as my best friend is from NYC and is constantly left "" when I mention something she has never heard of before lol.

Orlando we're just doing Disney lol. We'll be exhausted from five days at the park as it is haha.

California I'm tossing up doing either Legoland, Universal Studios or both. Haven't decided yet

I've never heard flip flops being referred to as "thongs". That's definitely a first for me. I feel for your friend!

I'm from and live in California but I've never been to Lego land, so if you go, maybe you can tell me how it is. I love Universal Studios and I think that's always a good choice.

The funny thing is I'm now starting to speak more American from all of my times talking to her lol. I now sometimes catch myself saying "I went to the store" for example instead of "I went to the shops" which is what Australians say lol.

I really want to go to them but it's tricky trying to figure out how to get to them via Anaheim hotels lol

Don't start speaking the American way! Please! Although I say shops too. I say both stores and shops.

Legoland is in the San Diego area, and the drive will be around two hours. Universal is a lot closer and it should only take you 20-35 mins to get there, if there's no traffic. Do you have a GPS? If you do there shouldn't be a problem.

That is a great value! Have you heard of the Southern California City Pass? For one price you can go to DLR for three days, Universal for one day and Sea World for one day. Might be something you'd want to look into.

Trust me I have had my eye on this one for the last couple of days. Waiting to see what the prices will be like for the 2013 passes when they come out in November lol

This is the other one I am looking at as well:

But the Southern California Pass is better cause it includes Disney
