Best Good Neighbor Hotel

I'm trying to make a last minute December trip and all the DVC Studios are booked. So I'm looking into other options.

Which of the Disney World Good Neighbor hotels is the best?

Best Shuttles to the park?
Best room?
Best price?
Food options.

Shades of Green if you're eligible, food options are ok at best but you can walk to Poly or GF
Swalphin if not. Excellent all the way around but do look for discounts on rooms

Not eligible. I'd definitely stay there, if I could. I was a cub scout but I don't think that qualifies me.

In the "Offsite Hotels" thread holder, there are many debates and threads. While I haven't stayed there, I've heard good things about the Marriott and Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. I know someone who uses points to stay at the Waldorf and really enjoys it. Other posts talked up Grande Lakes but, again, I don't have any personal knowledge of any. I've been thinking about staying at the Sheraton Vistana - Lake Buena Vista as those are good sized rooms and still close to Disney. One person responded to my question that it was a great place to stay and that was fairly recent.

Not helping you too much but I would check out that section. Also, Allears.net has reviews for some of the offsite hotels.
