The statue has some nice guns but a small torso. The face is pretty spot on to the animated movie.
B&tB is one of my favorite animated movies. I am so excited for all of this. I am the only girl in my family of five. They have all been warned that we WILL be spending some time in this area!!

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the costume doesn't fit this guy? Every time I see his picture I think it and now, especially with him in the same pose as the fountain behind him, the shirt is too short. The belt isn't supposed to be at his chest. It's driving me bonkers! LOL!

His clothes kind of confuse me. They're different in the costume than the statue (long arms vs. short arms). Maybe the statue is his "Drinking Wear".

I dunno... whatever it is, I'm seriously fixated on it. I think for me it's the belt. It's suppose to be a belt done tightly at his waist to emphasize his chest and instead whenever he lifts his arms, it's a loose belt above his navel. It looks more like something I wore when I was pregnant. It is just really bothering me can you tell? LOL!His clothes kind of confuse me. I am thinking that Disney has had a hard time finding someone with Gaston's actual body type and the willingness to work as a Disney character. Don't see too many serious body builders looking for a gig at Magic Kingdom, imagine what that would do for their reputation.
His sleeves look really funny to me, but I think that's just to hide his arms, and the belt does look a little bit too high. Maybe they can get this cast member actually lifting kegs and he can look more like Gaston in no time !

Actually, Gaston isn't even really gigantic in the grand scheme, especially if you use that fountain as a basis for comparison, but I do get what you mean. Maybe it is the size of the "actor" in this case and not filling it out right... or maybe they made the costume to his measurements without taking into consideration that they could alter it to give a different appearance of size. That said though... I think the guy playing him could look spot on but the shirt needs to be longer or the belt lower. Sorry can you tell it's bugging me? Have I said that enough? LOL!
