Beauty And The Beast Revamp?

Now that Disney cruise line is showing Tangled I'd find it hard to imagine getting Tangled into the parks, same with Aladdin as they both run on DCL ships - kind of pointless when they are trying to encourage land and sea packages!

What I will say - and I have said it before... MK needs a good show - and beauty and the beast would be a good fit to new fantasyland area - whilst the show isn't all bells and whistles like aladdin, I think a good MK show should be more costumed characters than maybe the kind of Broadway production the studios should probably have.

(Cough Mary Poppins Cough)...........if you are talking about music almost everyone would know (kids, parents, grandparents, adults without kids and so on)

I agree. Much better movie, and much better music. I'd have zip interest in seeing a Tangled show in WDW, but a Mary Poppins show would help motivate me to visit the park again.

We all know the most elegant show for BatB is at Belles Cottage. Lest we forget the amazing technology and production value of the card board cut outs they utilize? It really feels like your looking at a knight in armor when the people hold up the cardboard, lol. Elegance!

It is saying something that the gorgeous musical adaptation, which was created AFTER the DHS show premiered, lived a great life on Broadway and with touring productions for almost 15 years, and this thing is still going. It's tired and reflects poorly on the quality of that park. I sincerely hope that they do not revamp the show. It needs a complete replacement. This and Voyage of the Little Mermaid are terrible. They are nowhere near the quality of what a modern, non-Broadway, Disney stage show should me.

I'm not a fan of the Belle "M&G" at MK. My daughter loves Belle and that is the only place at MK you can meet her. We've seen her at Epcot, but she's in her country dress...so not quite as cool. I think a BatB dark ride with a M&G next to it would have been great in that area. The BatB show at DHS is always nice to see, but I'm not sure if I would miss it if they replaced it with something else.

I agree that this show needs to go. One of the biggest factors, for me, as to why DHS is so stale is the lack of rotation when it comes to stage shows. Yes, the park needs more rides. Yes, it could use rides even little ones can enjoy. But there is no reason in this world, no matter how popular, that a stage show should stick around for ten-fifteen-twenty years. Indiana Jones? Are you freaking kidding me? If nothing else, add to the shows, change up the songs represented, add new effects. Something! There should be a law that states every six years a new show must replace the existing shows. Even Finding Nemo and Lion King (which are amazing) will get old in the next few years. Come on Disney.....

You have to admit, the part where you walk into the mirror is awesome.
