Beach club. Thoughts

Have you stayed at BC before? And are you planning on visiting EPCOT frequently?
We stayed in May, and found ourselves very disappointed.
Yes, the pool is stunning, and a must do at least once for any Disney fanatic. It truly lives up to the hype, and sand-bottom pools should be the standard for Disney resorts. And the short walk to EPCOT is really nice if you're planning multiple days at EPCOT, or enjoy a nap midday. But outside of those two things, we ran out of positives very quickly.
We opted for a king size bed, and the room and hallway felt incredibly dated and dull. The quick service was awful with an extremely limited menu and a crazy line at peak times. Even the mug refill stations were overrun, more-so than any other resort I've visited. The shop was very sad compared to other resorts, with barely any Beach Club exclusive merch. We had to settle for a Beaches and Cream magnet as opposed to an actual Beach Club one. Beaches and Cream was fine, but not the worth the hype it gets. Especially if you don't have enough people to partake in a Kitchen Sink. And if you do, opt for either the Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan version. The classic Kitchen Sink had some flavors that fought each other, and our group found ourselves struggling to finish it just to say we did. As the flavors melted, we likened it "slurm", from Futurama and it very much set us back the next day. Cape May felt a step below other character dining experiences to us, with super generic options and very mediocre quality. Even the character interactions felt less than.
The construction wasn't very intrusive to our stay, though that might have changed between then and August.
I don't think I'd stay there again unless I was going with people who reaaaally wanted to experience the pool. I'd go Boardwalk or Riviera if I want to be in the area.

I LOVE Beach Club.
However, the construction ruins the beauty of it and I would feel like a sucker paying full price.
Isn't Wilderness Lodge currently under construction, too, though?

the Beach club is my absolute favorite resort, that being said, I don't like intrusive construction at any place I vacation. I once switched a hotel in Paris because they had tons of scaffoling in the lobby. I'm weird . I would switch.

Just returned from Beach Club. Family and I loved it, despite the rooms needing a refurb. The AC in the DVC building was super cold and felt great when returning from a long day at the parks. As far as quick service is concerned, we loved being able to walk into WS at Epcot for 11 countries of QS to pick from. However, I do think the whole QS offerings from the Cresent Lake resorts need better option. Although we preferred WL during the first part of our stay, we would definitley use our DVC points at Beach Club again!
