If it's the same one they had at the Dark Side races last year, it's kind of a puppet on a sand "base". It moves a little, but doesn't roll around.

I would expect it to be like the BB-8 in SWAGFFA; on a raised pedestal, stationary center of gravity, remote control. Anyone expecting a practical BB-8 that moves around the room is probably asking too much.

I'd have rather Artoo and C3P0. A droid just sitting there is boring, no?
