I like the way that they used the old "ABC Wide World of Sports" opening and the classic jackets.
I did wonder why they chose to go without an audience. I think that decision has affected how it has come off. An audience helps with any sporting event. Even the NBC ninja thing uses an audience. Without the audience it comes off a little more dry.
I am glad they brought it back, though. Just needs the audience energy added back.

It was fun to see Lisa Whelchel, by the way a New Mickey Mouse Club alumna as well as a Facts of Life alumna. She was the main reason I watched both shows when I was growing up.
I think she is also one former child star who seems to have made a good transition to adulthood.
