Hello..........I've been away for quite some time.......you know having a baby and raising him and working full time...........anyways. We are already planning his first trip in October and he'll be 15 months old. Does anyone know if I need to book a reservation for Baby's First Haircut at Main St. Barber shop? Or do we just walk in?
Thanks!!!!!

We just did this in September, it was pretty special. Your child gets a first haircut certificate, a special pair of Mickey Ears and some of their packed up in pixie dust. Bring a camera...

FYI - The Harmony Barber Shop doesn't take reservations, it's first come first serve. We waited about an hour and we went there right as the park opened...

Have fun!

My son had his first haircut there on his first birthday. It was really great! We went in the morning and waited maybe half an hour, but that was a relatively slow day. It's so worth it though!

Totally first come first serve. My hubby got his haircut here in Sept. for the first time! (Well, first time getting a haircut there, not first time for a haircut... )

I have only watched others get this done, but I think it's so cute! I plan on taking my first child there someday. The little mouse ears they get are adorable.

From what I read, heading straight there at rope drop is the best thing to do. If you really want to get a head start, try to get a breakfast reservation at 8:05 on a day when the park opens at 9:00. If you finish in time, you can just head over to the barbershop and wait for it to open. You'll be first in line. :)

They gave me the 'child haircut' rate when I got my hair cut there because the barber lady said I didn't have a lot to cut.

We had to wait a while. Just as I got finished the parade came by and we saw it up close.

Good luck.

They do not take reservations and it is first come first served so you will want to get there early. Also the barber shop closes around 4 pm so do not wait too long to go there.

Here are a few pictures of a shadow box that I made to remember the event that has the hat, certificate, etc in it.

I love the work that you did to preserve such a great memory. Kudos!
