Baby Gorilla born at Pangani

Hasn't really been broken to the mainstream, but there's a new baby gorilla in Pangani Forest

It was born on Friday, right around when the area was closing. The mother actually gave birth right in front of the window.

Last I heard they aren't sure on the gender yet, as the mother won't let go of her

Yes, as graphic as it was (gorilla eating embryonic fluids), yes there was. Caused quite the commotion from what I hear as guests were running out of the attraction yelling to the crowds outside about the baby.

Keep in mind all this happened as the area was trying to close for the night :lol:

Speaking of babies, the white rhino born last month finally has a name, Lola

If you haven't seen her yet, hop on the Wildlife Express to Rafiki's, she's usually backstage in the Rhino barn, but in clear view of the trains

Absolutely wonderful news, and every birth of a gorilla is such an important moment.
