Avatar opening day rope drop, you gonna be there?

Yes its many years away.

Yes, people will speculate how it will get its budget cut or things will be cut or attractions will cut be for bonuses, whatever.

But it will see the light of day, and when it does, are you going to be there?

I was at the parks for Everests opening, and close to Mickey's Philharmagic, Soarin' and Mission Space. I will be there at rope drop the day Avatar opens. Simply put, James Cameron and Joe Rohde won't let this be a sham, I personally believe this will define theme park experiences and what we will come to expect in the future.

So, Avatar, you gonna be there opening day?

I would be surprised if they allow FP+ booking prior to soft openings. They need to be pretty certain of the opening date before they let people reserve. We will see how this works for the Mine Ride since it will be the first test of this situation.

I don't want to be at opening day for ANYTHING. Bleah. What a mess of crowds.

Honestly--I am not going back UNTIL it opens, probably. And then I'll mix it up
with Harry Potter as well. Won't stay on property, probably.

Basically, going to wait until there's more to see. And I haven't seen New Fantasyland
open, either. Not going to make a trip for just that.

But, yeah, I have told the family, when Avatar opens, that's when it will be worth
going back. Avatar and all the nighttime offerings at AK, that is. Finish it first.

Disney will bury any Uni opening if on the same day, 10 to 1 if not substantially more. No matter what the IP.
