Read a bunch of Marvel comics and just hope that someday Disney will actually do something with that license.... Other than combining it with Phineas and Ferb
(Of all the things they could do.... sigh)

Why would you want Disney to do something with Marvel when you mention exactly the sort of stuff they would do?

I'll skip the smurfs with spears party. While blue is my favorite color, I'll skip it. When and if they start construction it will be met by a yippie from me, followed by 6 years of waiting for it to be finished.

I honestly feel it was shelved because of FLE, which is a huge capital investment. Look for the stock to split once completed.

I am going to watch 24 hours of avatar. Well I will let it play for 24 hours but wont watch it. I enjoyed it the first time but not really interested in revisiting the film at this time.

I think Disney is making a huge mistake with Avatar land. It isn't Disney. It doesn't have Disney charm or magic. I also think fox is making a mistake by green lighting four sequels at a billion dollars. As a property it is not a part of the culture. It just isn't. If there must be an Avatar land it would make more sense to me for it to be a part of Hollywood Studios.

However, I do take consolation that although everything I said above is true at the end of the day we are talking about Disney so I am sure they will take it and make it look amazing somehow. That doesn't mean it isn't a mistake.

MAJOR development today at the D23 Expo in Anaheim. WDI has teased the possibility that Avatar Land could possibly might still somehow be a thing!! They even showed teaser images of characters, animals, and plant life from...the film!! That's right. Two years later, and we're getting teasers of images we've already seen in the film! This is beyond exciting news. :D:D

Among the items leaked today were:
-A battle knife used in the film.
-A headdress worn by Na'Vi in the film.
-An image of a dragon seen in the film.
-A glowing rock like those in the film.
-Images of the Na'Vi seen in the film.
-Boots worn by characters in the film.

These developments took 2 years to take form, but it was certainly worth the wait!

I can't wait to see what they'll release at the 3 year anniversary of the announcement!
I heard that at the next Expo, WDI will give a sneak preview of musical score tracks that were used in the film.

Things are looking good. Meanwhile over at Universal, they are playing around with a giant construction jungle of metal beams & structures for their London project announced back in May. Yet here we sit, 2 years after our Avatar announcement, and getting to re-live fond moments via images from the movie. Take that, Uni.

I can't imagine the noise UNI guests are dealing with. Disney knows what the guests really want.

This guy gets it RIGHT:

Interesting that with all these years they’ve had of research, this is all they have to show. Even the guide can’t pronounce Na’vi correctly. Not to mention the photoshopped images of imagineers on Pandora are lacking some serious details (like gas masks, which is needed for the planet’s poisonous atmosphere, and they look much too big next to the supposedly 10 foot tall aliens..) Either way, you can tell there’s not a lot of heart set onto the project.

No way!!!!!

They might, maybe, possibly still build Avatarland?!

Whoa.

I need a minute to take that in.

And a good majority of those comments are people hoping & praying the Avatar project falls flat so that something else can come to DAK rather than it. I haven't read too many comments of people hoping Star Wars land at DHS falls flat... and it hasn't even been announced yet. This speaks volumes.

We're only hoping it falls flat AFTER being built. That way, Disney will already have the infrastructure in place for Beastly Kingdom. :D

Just evict the blue cat people, and bring in the Unicorns and Dragons.
