If it can't tell a good story based on character, then it will just be another Wrinkle in Time, Alice2, BFG, Nutcracker and the 4 Realms, Jupiter Ascending, Valerian, Tomorrowland...

It looks pretty good but then I have never read any of the books so can't really compare

The books are a great read I love them and I'm excited to see this movie hopefully it does have a good story and won't completely stray from the book.
