New England patriots - 9 wins ZERO losses.

Great game by the Colts. Great quarter by the Pats. Now I can breath again.

So disappointing from my side as the Colts nearly won with out 4 starters but New england showed why they are the team to beat by the way they played the 4th Qtr. but I hope we see you again come January in Super....Er I mean AFC Championship game.Congrats Pats fan

Way to run up the score, Pats. Kicking the extra point on that last TD when you could have easily taken the 3-point win.

Kidding...kidding. :p

That was a definite nail biter!

But yay!!!!!

*dances out*

Whew, a little too close for comfort, but I'll take the W. Once again, the Pats not only had to deal with the Colts, but also poor officiating. The pass interference call on Hobbs was completely bogus. All Phil Simms could say was "tough call, tough call". Um, BAD CALL??? Whatever, the Pats still won. :sohappy: :sohappy:

I know you are kidding, but this game is a prime example of why BB is making this team play a full 60 minutes every game regardless of score. They will not allow themselves a repeat of last years AFC championship game again.

I think the offensive PI on Moss was worse than that one.

Wow....great game! If they played 10 times, they would probably split 5-5 and they all be close. New England had some awful calls by the refs. Great game to watch. I think the only thing settled was home-field advantage for the playoffs. Either one could win again in January.

Hmm...how about the track skip in the "audience" when the Patriots had the ball.

Who knew that Milli Vanilli was in the stands!

It was obvious...is there any rule about playing things over speakers while the opponent has the ball? Hmmm... Maybe Mr. Dungy isn't so "Play by the rules" afterall.

Overall it was a great game...it was a nailbiter right until the end (and, for once, to make everybody happy, Brady's knee got dirty). It was the 3rd quarter and I was already satisfied because the game was hard-fought right until the end. The win could've gone either way and it definitely lived up to the hype!

Thanks Colts...you made Sunday exciting again!!!

BTW...yes, there were 3 bad calls by the refs...Moss' Pass Interference was a joke and Hobbs' was almost as if the refs were on the Colts' payroll for those plays. You know they are bad calls when the guys calling the game can't find the Patriots' fault

You know I just heard the replay "The Opening Drive" and it is very curious. You hear Nance and Simms talking and the crowd roaring in the background. Then the crowd noise goes into and echo and reverb, but the announcers voices are steady. Then the crowd noise dies. Now, not having been there I can't say if the reverb was the transmission over the airwaves or the Colts playing games. I am sure that if the Pats coaches and the NFL officials at the game heard the same thing then this will be looked at.

Not a suprise when the Pats play the Colts. I have given up complaining about it and pretty much concede that when we play the Colts the refs will be horrible.

I took it as poor audio on CBS' part. I noticed it throughout the game.

We shall see. Either that or they trained 65,000+ people to add some reverb to their cheers. :lookaroun (God forbid the Colts do anything wrong!)

BTW...lets see how many people bring up "running up the score" this week...

The Lions beat Denver 44-7. Nobody will because Detroit isn't a front-runner team at the moment.

Anybody have a link to the crowd audio? My interest is piqued.

Can't find anything...but there was a play (Moss was involved) and the crowd seemed to start to echo/skip...and then the crowd magically died out right away. Nothing else was echoing..just the crowd noise. Nance didn't reverb...just the crowd noise.

Now, don't get me wrong...I'm sure the Dome is INSANELY loud...and the Colts fans are some of the best going...but it is just a little odd. It was almost like a cd skipping.

CBS MAY have been mic'ing the crowd for television...and THAT was the cause...but when the crowd noise died down...it was the same level as when the Colts were on the field. BTW...Nance and Simms commented MANY times at how "trained" the Colts fans are...and they get extremely loud when the opposition takes the field...but it dead quiet when the Colts are calling plays.

I guess we'll know if the PLAYERS heard it at the stadium or not...

What they mean is that when the Colts are on the field the fans know to be quiet as Peyton goes thru so many audibles and calls at the line. They wnt the players to be able to hear everything.Notice that after a big Colts play and you see Peyton flapping his arms wanting the fans to quiet.Heck they even have a sign that goes on billboard saying "Quiet offense at work"

He was being sarcastic. Every stadium/team/fans do the same thing. Difference is that Indy is in a dome. Foxboro gets pretty loud too (without pumping it in:eek:).

I love it. The media darling Colts, under the microscope for  cheating!! I thought only evil Bill Belichick did that. According to an article on Yahoo, the Colts have been accused of pumping in crowd noise before, but the accusations were never substantiated.

Thanks mousefan. I have to agree, it sounds just like audio slipping, and it's weird how the crowd noise just dies right after.

Another good example of why Good vs. Evil storylines in sports are usually bunk. Everybody does whatever they think they can get away with.

It seems like indoor arenas provide some of the best opportunities for "creative" advantages. Remember the guy at the Metrodome who said he would turn on the giant industrial fans that blew toward the outfield whenever the Twins were at the plate and then switch them off when the other team would come up?
