I'm heading to Port orleans FQ in 2 days, I'm beyond excited at this point. 😆

I was just wondering if anyone is there right now. Is it quiet or very busy? I'm more concerned about the cheerleader competition crowds than Easter crowds.

Also what times do the the float works canteen open and close at?
More importantly when do they start serving beninets?

Thank you :)

we’ve stayed there 3 times so far, & again this october. it’s a pretty quiet & relaxing resort. small & compact as well.
i think u can get the beignets at any time. they served them for breakfast on our last stay. if you’re heading to disney springs, try the boat ride. very relaxing & you’ll get some nice views.
hope you all have a good time 👍

I think I saw that most of the cheerleaders are staying at the All Star resorts, Caribbean Beach, and Coronado Springs. Two of the resorts I'm going to stay next week. I wish I had booked at one of the Port Orleans resorts for this trip but I didn't even think about the cheerleading competitions.

I've never stayed there before, I'm hoping it will be more relaxing than pop century.
Definitely. The sound of crickets as you walk through the grounds at night, the carriages tromping along - it's a peaceful antidote to a loud day. The only reason we've stayed elsewhere is distance; finding rooms at Dolphin the same rate as POFQ and not having to get on a bus won us over, but it's a really great place.

Looks like all the hotels are booked for this week and next. Really hoping it is not super crowded!

The only issue we have had is the super loud DJ at the pool in the afternoon. They put it on for the kids but the times we've suffered through it the kids there weren't even interested, nor did they participate.
Aside from that small complaint it's a wonderful resort. Very small and nice to be in. There are really no buildings too far away from the bus stops, food court, or pool. Enjoy your stay, we always have and have stayed there approx. a dozen times.

Just got home last night after 5 days at POP. For April vacation there were high school bands there. High school cheerleaders. 6 to 9 year old girl dance groups. Singing groups. I also think there was woman lacrosse there too. This was my first time down at this time of year. Many more kids than when we usually go in September.
